Coming to Android

The map for going further.

earthslayer is an offline map of the whole United States for adventurers and explorers. It shows whose land you're standing on, what's out there worth finding, and the places you've been, with or without a signal.

In testing, coming soon

Built for where the signal ends

Download the states you're headed to and the map, the land and the data all keep working when the bars run out.

The whole country, offline

A detailed basemap of the US with roads, trails, water, contours and place names. Download it state by state and it needs no connection.

Whose land you're on

Federal, state and local public land: BLM, national forest, parks, wildlife areas and state trust land. When you cross a boundary, the map tells you.

Things worth finding

Hot springs, historic places, old mines, campgrounds, scenic byways, rockhounding sites and more, from public sources. Turn on only the layers you care about.

Your own maps

Record tracks and drop points with notes and photos. Organise them in your own sets with your own icons, and keep everything in a folder on your phone.

Share phone to phone

Hand a place or a whole set to a friend with a tap, a QR code or a file. No account and no cloud in between.

Your party on the map

Pair a Meshtastic radio and see where everyone in your group is, and trade short messages, miles from the nearest tower.

Made from public data

The map is built from the public record: the agencies that survey, manage and name the land.

  • Bureau of Land Management
  • US Forest Service
  • National Park Service
